Surprisingly non-covid anxiety about an upcoming social event
Been getting more and more anxious about an upcoming wedding recently, and only now checked the invite and saw that wearing drag is optional, not mandatory. In fact, they specifically say "show up however you feel comfortable".
I'm not going to wear jeans and a t-shirt or anything, but I'm glad I can aim for my normal nondescript fancy without it being a problem.

@abe_e_seedy, weddings are fraught enough without someone going fun mode with the attire, jeez. That feels like something they should maybe limit to those in the wedding party? Their wedding their rules, but there's something to be said for the comfort of your guests.
But I'm the kind of person who waffled on the beach-themed wedding of a friend.

@fineursine in their defence, it was spelled out pretty clearly, I'd just blown it up in my head.

I have this problem with Halloween-type fancy dress to be honest, in that I'm intensely uncomfortable wearing anything that stands out. That's probably something I should work through at some point, but someone else's wedding probably isn't a great time to do that
