Not sure how I want to handle the logistics of selling the pooltoy thing - I'd like to do an auction with a reasonable, hard limit (no more crazy bidding wars that mean I feel compelled to add a bunch to the image), but the only good place for that is FA, really. I'd just sell it for a flat fee and have people submit ref sheets, but
1) I want the charity to get more money
And
2) there's also problems with that system.

@angrboda the charity I'm picking is probs the Texas civil rights project, which is not only focused on legal aid for immigrant families but also on criminal justice reform and voting rights.
Anyway, offering comms is always tricky for me because the demand is vicious and it's hard to find a system where folks don't get upset if they don't get the thing.

@fineursine thank you, haha. Selfishly, doing the charity comms is at least something for my peace of mind. So much of what’s frustrating about the current state of things is that it seems hard to find anything actionable that helps besides protesting (which I’ve done and continue to do). Being able to donate decent chunks via furry stuff feels like a way I can use my dumb skills to do something without going in too hard and burning out.
