Perhaps the dumbest thing that made me angry today is the throwaway line in this article from a tech website that implies a multinational corporation would design their logo in fucking photoshop

@fineursine oh I don’t super love the rebrand and agree that they should have kept the black ring (and dropped the outline. I’d drop the letters before dropping the black ring; people know what the BMW logo means and leaning into ‘you already know’ is an extremely luxury brand strategy). That said rebrands at this level go through a zillion meetings and committees and is focus groups to the extent that the final result can hardly be described as having any artistic intent.
