Cops
@fineursine I've known enough cops to know that 'cops are corrupt and the system sucks' shouldn't be a surprise to even white people who are paying attention. In the precinct over from us there is a dude who specifically responds to local DUIs perpetrated by his buds to make sure no one gets their hand slapped. Even DUIs involving accidents. A sheriffs dispatcher hit and permanently disabled my HS biology teacher while drunk - got a hand slap.

@fineursine I realized I used the exact same verbiage for those 2 examples but AFAIK they're unrelated. My point was that if white folks aren't aware that cops and friends of cops get away with Some Shit, they're willfully ignoring a lot. My brother in law mentioned once how some dudes he worked with in a particularly gross rural area used to brag about spousal abuse. ACAB.
