Trying to find some illo inspiration at work but juxtapoz is fucking full of tiddy. If I didn't have to worry about the harassment I guess it wouldn't matter a ton if people knew who I was. Sometimes I wonder if drawing a shitload of porn gives me more cred as an illustrator, not less.

I bought stardew valley for the switch since it seems pretty up my alley. I have to go to the laundromat tonight (our washer and dryer aren't hooked up while Therian works on the basement) so it'll give me something to do while I wait.

@fineursine no prob dude, haha. When I see all the glowing reviews of this movie I feel like I'm trapped in an alternate universe and everyone saw a different one, so it's nice to hear from someone who had a similar reaction. I think there's really good interactions and some good beats in the film but an awful lot of bad story that felt very hollow and pointless.

@fineursine I think what actually happened is that for a long time I was really excited about the prospect of the shared universe because it felt so similar to comics - this is the drawback. If it's similar in the fun and exciting respects, it will also necessarily have the same pitfalls.

@fineursine I don't understand anyone who was sad or shocked when people started dissolving at the end. I guess as someone who read D.C. for a long time the idea of everyone just getting evangelioned seemed like business as usual. The status quo is worth way too much to these people to ever shift it meaningfully - that is how comics actually work, haha

@fineursine thanks dude; it's improved substantially since the point where it was really bad. I just mean in general sometimes even folks who are nominally your friends on social can be kind of callous

@fineursine I was lukewarm on it the night I saw it and soured on it pretty immediately. The fact that they use the exact. same. Plot beat where someone is confronted with killing their significant other for the Greater Good was like... really bad imo.

@fineursine I had this same thing, except instead of spoiling a movie it was giving my husband paralyzing panic attacks about the nuclear apocalypse
