I watched a ton of Overlord last night while I was working and man, it suuuucks how that show handles women, but I'm almost done with it so I guess I'll keep watching? IDK.

@angrboda I'm 32 and I (nominally) host a tf podcast and I still can't reconcile YKINMK with folks who like women punishing, crying, body horror / identity death.

Abe just reminded me about the only episode of black mirror that we've watched (the Star Trek one) because we heard it was horny. It's extremely not horny and I hated it enough to validate my bad opinion of the series in general. I think that was definitely a moment of like 'I might share a fetish with people but for some folks it's functionally just not the same fetish'

@angrboda most of the times I've had knee jerk bad reactions to replies is when I shouldn't have been posting in the first place. Not posting when I'm really depressed is a good strategy that helps me be less awful online, haha.

I can kind of understand being short w/ folks on twitter because the engagement quota is much higher but if you're short w/ folks on masto I just assume you're an asshole, which seems to bear out.

@fineursine I haven't watched it since high school - I'd be curious to do a rewatch (at least of the first one) being aware of the trans themes.

I went to the grocery store to get milk and the high school marching band was extremely practicing for homecoming (apparently on the set list: livin on a prayer). I was honestly unprepared for that much Americana.

There were a bunch of kids there in home made fur suits that were clearly just happy to have somewhere to suit which was cute. Sometimes I'm a little jealous that I never got that experience, but I also would have been really embarrassing as a teenager with a suit (being as big of a weeb as I was was bad enough).

We went to a very local comic con which was kind of a bust but I caved and got these cute paws for 15 bucks

@fineursine are these the new ray tracing ones? I was listening to giant bomb and they said nvidia had to revise their annual projections way down after bitcoin crashed and I had... a little schadenfreude tbh
