@angrboda it did make me aware of the fact that I'm actually real attached to my car and when it finally does go I'm definitely gonna cry, haha

The mechanic started the phone call with 'how much do you love your car', which is never good, but it wasn't a ton more than I was expecting to shell out for other issues. It sucks but if it keeps the Corolla on the road for 3-4 more years I'm happy w/ that.
