Kinda fitting that you can just lose all this data at the whim of a company bad at products

I haven't downloaded my archive in a while. Nor looked at how their API is changing to see if my original Twitter archive tactic works still. 🙃

@macroscopicentric I think you're good if you have an existing app? But for new ones you have to grovel for permission. Also, I guess my problems downloading the archive stem from having an ages-old account; must have missed a database migration or several.
@antifuchs oh that’s super annoying! I was definitely under the impression that existing apps are gonna have a problem since Darius announced his old boys are going to be unsupported and stopped working. I’ll look into it.

my GOD it's because it was unable to verify my email address (I signed up in 2007, never got a "confirm your email" email)?! They said they'd sent me a confirmation email but apparently my account was old enough to render them unable to do so.
