So Twitter is a corporate hellscale owned by a fascist that's falling apart by the day.

Mastodon is apparently non-inclusive, brutally clique-ish, and dehumanizing.

Cohost is an insecure mess that has an abusive TOS where you give up the right to everything you post.

Tumblr is still controlled by puritanical assholes, even if they're promising that THIS time they really will let you see a nipple.

And Pillowfort thinks you're fucking useless if you're not an artist.

So where the hell am I supposed to go?

I think what's getting to me the most during this entire collapse is how small, worthless, and alone it's made me feel.

Everyone else setting up shop in other corners of the internet seems to slide right in, find their niche, and start generating interaction and gaining community. But me? Not really. Maybe a pity follow here and there.

And it underscores and illustrates something that's bothered me about myself for decades: Why the fuck would anyone follow me? I'm not an artist. I don't create anything. So who fucking cares?

@Phorm I think, in the end, there's no real way to make migration painless. Some accounts will be lost, others scattered across multiple social networks. The community/audience one might have built on Twitter disappers when you move somewhere else.
I don't have an answer to this unfortunately. I'm in a similar situation.
