Okay this is silly but I'm thinking:
What if goblins had like, little tails. Not long or super-thick, just a bit of a fleshy nub between the buttocks.
I think it'd be cute...
Okay so maybe the proper question is "what if I'm a somewhat different goblin with a tail".
Because like, still cute. And I don't have to be a normal goblin.
Also now I'm thinking about being a goblin but just a bit scaly. Like, scales over the tail and a bit over the hips and shoulders.

@flesh Perhaps! For a given definition of "accident". Maybe some mage decided to give themselves a convincing disguise that, um, turned out a little too convincing.
