theres a dog outside which is one of those dogs where it does exactly 2 almost-identical barks per second in a continuous series of, I presume, 1,800 woofs, since it’s been going on for at least 15 minutes. initially i was annoyed but after a while i was just impressed. does it not need to breathe?? a real woofer. absolute unit

features still missing from mastodon: the "solidarity, comrade" button for when someone posts something deeply personal/emotional and you want to show support without the weird implication of "hell yeah your inner pain is my favorite"

i need a fuckin number above the faves and boosts buttons or i will not know what to do with them
my entire method of interacting with other people online is mediated by capital and Interaction Numbers and it's fucking hell

online is hell. i think being as online as twitter has enabled us to be, with the associated anonymity and ease of hurting others, is harmful to the mental health of everyone who uses/used it, mine included, and i'm not sure if it's worth the positive social interactions that come with it
