Villain originally meant "peasant", clown originally meant "peasant", clown villains are double-peasants.
Obviously words change meaning over time, but I think it's very interesting that the way we talk about heroes being noble and evil people being villains is basically an artifact of a multi-century long class war.
@Gouximan 8: Golden Axe II!
Henry Ford and genius white men, sarcasm
Somehow I had missed the incredible story of how Henry Ford built a city smack dab in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.

It's a story about genius white men and the genius things they do.
Hey everyone, did you know it's almost #Wolfenoot ?
It is when the Spirit of the Wolf brings and hides small gifts around the house for everyone. People who have, have had, or are kind to dogs get better gifts than anyone else.
You eat roast meat (because wolves eat meat) and cake decorated like a full moon.
It’s on the 23rd November if anyone else is moved to celebrate it. If you do, please post pics, so he can see how his idea has spread.
@nicuveo It looks like you're right indeed! Request therefore withdrawn. Thanks for looking though. ♥
@nicuveo Would you happen to have a spare invite? My friend ipstenu@mastodon.social is looking for one. I will heartily vouch that she's very good people.
@kefen Kinda looking for a new one too. awoo.space federates only with a few other instances and you can't follow people on non federated instances.
@ipstenu If you're on cohost too, Liz Fong-Jones (https://cohost.org/lizthegrey) is an amazing person and a legendary engineer.
@ipstenu Oh, how I hear you.
@nicuveo I've been crossposting for years and no one ever complained. People I follow on multiple platforms crosspost too. I think that's just the way we're gonna do it maybe?
@LionsPhil I did that and found that it did not go as far as writing documentation does. Because the API is familiar to me and so I myself do the things with the API without problem. But documenting -- *explaining* the API to someone who would not know it -- lets me identify where things are hard to explain, and therefore likely don't make sufficient sense structurally and should be reworked.
One cool but maybe less-visible feature here: The "locked" setting of your account (whether followers need approval) is independent of the visibility setting for each post.
That means you can have a locked account but still make some posts public, and you can also have an unlocked account but make some posts only visible to your followers.
@noiob Thank you!!
Hi @noiob, thank you so much for running awoo.space, it's been a good place. ♥ Do we have a process for submitting instances for allowlisting consideration? The Twitter diaspora appears to be scattering pretty wide.
