Uh. Weird-ass new email spambot behavior. Always connects from the same Bulgarian IP, tries to send to <random letters>@<my domain> from <random letters>@<someone else's domain>, three times, and then goes silent for about 3h25. Rinse, repeat.

WTF are they doing.

I miss the Geocities era.

Geocities was janky af, but whoever you were it let you put together your own heartfelt, sincere, clumsy Web pages about whatever obscure crap you cared about, and that was GOOD. That's what the Internet was FOR.

Now it's all been subsumed into 'platforms' that want your 'engagement'. All curated, all polished, all tailored for optimized metrics. It's sucks. It's all so sterile.

I want the janky heartfelt shit back. :(

That thing where there was barely any noteworthy April 1st stuff going on yesterday and no one really cared because we're all too worn out for that kinda contrived funnies.
