@eurasierboy @dog i didn't see the image on masto, but i see it on awoo

@Stephen_Stone yeah i want to dig into the little details of what that means. like i just found out now when viewing a masto profile in awoo, you only see the # of followers that are on the awoo instance (i think... "this number may be larger" it says)

i like to think that an alien species out there subsists on language

when they wake up in the middle of the night they like to eat a midnight snark

i'm still not sure what to use this account for? also i only just learned how awoo.space federates *only* with mastodon.social. i need to look into the details of what that means, practically (e.g. with boosting, replies)

i think i'm going to take a tip from @raccoon and alter my profile pic on this instance, to make it easier to tell them apart

i wonder if making a user's instance more visible might be a good idea? just thinking how easy it would be to impersonate someone. idk though

@Firstaide i definitely thing there should be some kind of intro thing like that: not just about federation, but about the rules for any site you're signing up on. in the default style, the rules are somewhat hidden, behind the tiny 'about' link -below- the signup form, and when you get to the about page, the rules are way below the fold

if i decide do switch my main to be over here, though, i'm faced with the same issues as everyone else who changes servers...

i figured the server issues over at masto would make for a good time for me to check out awoo.space. howdy! :)

Awoo Space

Awoo.space is a Mastodon instance where members can rely on a team of moderators to help resolve conflict, and limits federation with other instances using a specific access list to minimize abuse.
