strange how the Nintendo Switch UI seems to be natively 720p, not 1080p (720p capture zoomed to 600%, 1080p capture zoomed to 400%)

for comparison’s sake, Splatoon 2’s UI appears to be natively 1080p, with lower-res 3D rendering behind it in some scenes

as I understand it, a lot of Switch games use dynamic rendering resolutions, so it makes sense that they’d sometimes end up more variable than the UI resolutions, but it’s interesting to see different approaches

@cat makes sense, since the tablet is the first view that people see and they wanted to make it good
