less nervous follow up
Disclaimer to my disclaimer, I do still believe in using CWs liberally. Giving people the option to engage or not is hugely helpful, essential even, to many people here.
Speaking of literature recommendations: I'm currently on the last pages of Alexandra Hamer's "To be a girl" about a young trans woman in the Victorian era. It's a big recommendation!
But be aware that there's a short episode involving knifes and blood. But it's not very explicit.
Won't go into more detail because it would be a spoiler.

@zkat well i'm not trying argue that, because it's out of my lane. what i was hoping to do is amplify someone with who has a stake in how these systems work,
which i have failed to, possibly because of the horribleness.
@zkat things are a flipping mess over there
@zkat i can't find the thread i was going to link to... i wonder if they had to lock their account
@zkat counterpoint: it's has been an important call and response mechanism on black twitter.
maybe there's a different way to do activism here, but i've seen quite a few black activist pause on coming here because of that specific dynamic.
@sanspoint i love your purple hair
