os x is garbage
ok so. did some performance testing around our docker workloads and recent intel security patches, and holy fuck is OS X not suited to being a development OS.
given an identical workload with multiple docker containers, fully patched Ubuntu 19.04 does ~ 36.7 req/s, 99th percentile req time is 62ms.
OS X Mojave fully patched does 5.62 req/s, 99th percential is 54.331 *seconds*, and it fails fully 34.5% of requests.
it's honestly boggling how fucking bad it is.
