maybe it's my age, but my use of online spaces was about escaping social pressures. tumblr was ideal because i could engage but still have some distance.

when it became clear how isolated i was in meatspace i tried to be more social online. but in some ways it's harder and i get burned out faster.

it takes time to make friends, to build trust, but my attention seems even more fractured and relationships fleeting.
