so... in addition to all the other difficulties in using av1, there doesn't seem to be a standardized way to include hdr10+ or dolby vision.

i mean i don't even have a display that will utilize those streams, but i still want the data.

I’m starting to realise “everyone ought to know how to” really annoys me as a type of opinion. my parallel encoding job is rate limited by how many simultaneous reads i'm doing to the harddrive. anything beyond 4 processes and the encode can't keep the cores busy.
