the wonderful witches of witches.town have introduced me to the glyph ꙮ
it is "multiocular O", a variant of Cyrillic O that is used in certain religious texts in a phrase that translates to "many-eyed seraphim" and basically nowhere else
I honestly am having a hard time thinking of a single witchier Unicode character unless the Leviathan cross is hidden somewhere in the codeplanes
Mastodon feature thoughts
It would be cool if accounts could be declared bot accounts at time of creation, so people could set preferences about them. Obviously, that doesn't prevent people from simply not declaring bots, or using bots as one way they post to their own timeline, but it would potentially give you more options for letting people choose how to interact with bots.
oh, I know where the impersonation argument comes from
when you see a message on masto, only the name of the people mntioned are shown, not the domain they come from, so users ignorant of this fact could be deceived if they don't explicitly look at the URL and don't check the name if they reply to it
actually, it's probably a valid concern and maybe some signifier could alleviate it
