@Cybertrash yeah a bunch of my friends are talking about it on Twitter. Nobody knows why this is getting enforced now after Patreon chased Paypal's prude lawyers off a while back-- maybe they're under the gun again for hosting porn content and can't squirm out of it this time.
@distressedegg ah found it. Hold on I have the new TOS screenshot if you'd like details? But basically "fringe" stuff is out, and you can't "sell pornographic materials" which is vague and useless.
@Cybertrash from what I've heard they're just keeping it vague and swatting anyone who gets too big or visible, like with people who run patreons based around creating fan works
@distressedegg I'm in favour of removing sexual violence and underage from their site. The rest is vague but I think is primarily intended in spirit to drive off People actually trying to use it as a sales platform.
@Cybertrash I'm also in favor of scouring sexual violence and underage stuff from Patreon, dead-ass for SURE. It's just that I also really dislike that "we'll just keep it vague and apply as needed" is their M.O. here, since I feel like that leaves that policy really open to a wide variety of interpretations for what it can mean (and potential abuse of said policy)
