So I've got fucking lice.
Based on how cuddly we are and that I'm not the first person to report this, I'm worried some of y'all might have 'em too. So maybe check on that if you have scalp itchiness. Probably a more reliable check if you use one of the actual specialist combs.

I first noticed symptoms a few weeks ago but didn't find any lice when I checked then.
I apparently should have been much more thorough and probably enlisted help.
Today my scalp itched unbelievably badly so I checked again, and found a live louse.
I offer my deepest apologies for having potentially contributed to an outbreak.

Update: checked partner and found a live one on her too, so... contagion confirmed :( :(

Honestly if we've cuddled lately it's probably a decent idea to go ahead and get a louse comb and check. Partner wasn't experiencing symptoms yet.

@emanate not generally since they don't live very long outside of a host, but it is a thing that can happen. Washing on hot can kill 'em.
