Because of a fire at a compressor station Consumers Energy asked everyone in the state to turn the thermostat down to 65F lest there be blackouts, and oh but the WHINING about how the gas company must be stupid or evil and how nobody could live at 65. Also the whining about the statewide emergency text sent out. Like, sorry you had to read a text and put on a sweater because we're pushing the 'let's not lose power to Metro Detroit when it's -14 out' agenda.

@Austin_Dern ....65 is downright toasty compared to outside, and I'd find it perfectly comfortable. But I run warm by default. :-)
They're not asking for people to turn their heaters /off/, which /would/ be reason to complain.

@emanate Yeah, I can get along with the people joking that they didn't know the gas company was run by Their Dad. I grant I find 65 cool and I'd dread it if they asked us to go down to 60. But what kind of self-centered jerk do you have to treat this like they're just being mean and trying to insult you?
