peak borderlands mood is always simultaneously "god i fucking can't believe i'm gonna waste my life on ANOTHER stupid fucking borderlands game" and "ha ha nice, more weird guns and dumb jokes"
@irisjaycomics Honestly I love the games partly for the recombinant guns, and partly because it's good to have an FPSvl that absolutely doesn't take itself seriously. :-)
@emanate no yeah same, I really appreciate that it’s a game where you can enjoy blowing things up without having to get weird about “oh yeah this was a Russian-manufactured P-96RF with machine-tooled flanges and a spring loaded chamber piston, identical to the ones in warring countries all over the globe”. It’s just “this rocket launcher is green so it shoots ACID ROCKETS”. and that’s nice
@irisjaycomics And sometimes "this pistol shoots grenades" or "this shotgun shoots bullets that shoot other bullets sideways" and yeah it's just the right kind of cartoonish mayhem.
