wooo I went and did the thing today! they have bear cubs and bobcat cubs and a baby seal, and I got to see baby opossums and raccoons and a scrub jay (who was EXTREMELY IRATE that we were NOT GIVING IT FOOD), and glimpsed a juvenile bald eagle, and made formula for deer fawns. and tomorrow I start on my scheduled shift of Friday afternoons! :D

@emanate nope, the PAWS wildlife center! https://www.paws.org/wildlife/ tomorrow I get to go back and do my first shift as a volunteer there. dunno what I'll be doing--probably lots of cleaning and mixing food/formula, but I was also told that the second seasonal batch of baby squirrels usually show up around August, and that I'll have "baby squirrels coming out my ears." sooo that'll be fun! XD
