Has anyone here read Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire? I'm almost done and need to talk about it with someone. It understands me on a level I didn't think was possible.
@DialMforMara I've read that and the second book, and the second book gave me lots of feelings. In many ways I identify strongly with Jack.
I suppose my door would lead to something not chaotic, but not perfectly ordered, and slightly more logic than nonsense. Maybe not the Moors, but something with "mad science".

My door went to Pern, and it's taken me over a decade to realize that my dragon came back with me

I wrote Pern fanfic but never showed anyone when I was much younger. Had me being a Harper /and/ dragonrider, because of course.
I still have the name of my dragon from that, and it's become a secret thing. :-)
