chrisrodley@twitter: "I used deep learning to cross a book of dinosaurs X a book of flowers"
This is gorgeous and a fantastic use for machine learning. <3
Can there be something better than GNU/Linux please?

#introductions errr hello I am very scared, also #autistic and #queer and I am here because of cassolotl who I don't know how to tag??? HI
Context: on a train with @cassolotl
Cassian: can I send you off to find a bin for this stuff?
Me: only if you acknowledge my humanity.
Cassian: hello human, how are your organs?
There need to be emojis or abbreviations or something to help deal with the length limitations here.
I propose (first pass) using the symbol $, either in isolation or at the end of a word, to indicate that verbiage has been cut to save space.
Additional symbols could be used for shades of meaning:
$> = had more to say, but don't want to start into a tootstorm
$~ = simplified; probably annoyingly imprecise; happy to expand or clarify
$. = this ended awkwardly because I ran out of room
$>.
Sometimes I feel sad to be not to be more connected to the fediverse (Awoo only federates manually with specific, trusted instances).
But then sometimes I see evidence of friends caught in what looks like an intensely frustrating and stressful conversation. And when I investigate, I inevitably find that the source of the ablism/elitism/whatever is a user on an instance Awoo would be unlikely to ever federate with. 😸
UK politics, liberal strategy
A good strategy for furthering a liberal agenda:
1. Get all liberal parties to not ever run against each other in the same constituency.
2. Form many new parties with many variations on conservative policies, and run in every constituency, thereby splitting the conservative vote on each seat so the seat goes to a liberal candidate.
3. Profit (all seats sat in by liberal MPs)
#UKelection2017
We have an antiquated First-Past-The-Post voting system, so don't forget to vote tactically!
#lgbt #webcomic Always Human is at times completely adorable.
http://m.webtoons.com/en/romance/always-human/list?title_no=557
It also has a nonbinary character, although I don't know how much they are featured as I'm not far in.
I wish the "show replies" toggle filtered based on whether the toot starts by tagging a user, instead of based on threading.
@cassolotl@cybre.space: wormholes are one-way.
Me: How do you know wormholes even exist?
Cassian: because you can see them, they are like a black dot because they suck all the light in.
Me: that's a black hole.
Cassian: a wormhole is when you have two black holes that are connected.
Me: I think you may be conflating science fiction with science.
Cassian: I would never.
For price of postage from the UK... (otherwise, free)
Wireless keyboard and mouse. Cherry eVolution ORCA
Unwanted because wireless has downsides, like needing to replace batteries.
It's a bit dirty, but it works. It's been packaged up and ready to send for a while.

About hentai/porn
Wondering why hentai is almost all child porn, I went investigating. Wikipedia offered some interesting facts about Japanese censorship law which:
"forbids the publication of obscene materials. Specifically, depictions of male-female sexual intercourse and pubic hair are considered obscene, but bare genitalia is not."
So... were they like "I know who doesn't have pubic hair: prepubescent children; let's depict them having sex with tentacle monsters! That's much less obscene."?
Autistic. Enby. Traumatised. Likes safe spaces. Can be insensitive (or worse); appreciates complaints.
