Seriously, the humidity problems we get due to lacking proper cold is causing the trees to start _molding_ ...

@fennec We're suffering a fair bit from it. Average winter temperatures has gone up, and we're getting more rain, and fog, causing constant moisture.
When it's -10 the air is dry, and things dry out. That's what the trees need, many native species have porous bark to protect against cold.
That turns bad when it's moist all the time.

Sadly, they're not. The Chestnuts are almost all dying, as are the elms and beeches.

It'll get worse as we get more invasive species of insects from down south, and after that we'll have to import the southern ecosystem, which may not thrive at all.
Global warming has already started here. It's not going to get better.

Agreed, but currently, it's problematic due to countries that are larger than us, still emit more per capita than we do.
Feels as if nothing we do matters, they're still killing our environment.
