So, Werner has a tendency to pick up caring acts that I do to him and tries to mirror them back to me which is always so lovely in intention.
Unfortunately, his most recent fixation is returning the favor for me removing his eye krispies.
I just found out that Sublime Text 4 released the other day. I'm debating whether to upgrade from ST3... there's nothing that is really compelling for an upgrade for me just yet, but they've got a lot of future functionality planned for ST4 which I do want. But now it costs basically $27/year to keep it updated...
Maybe this is what gets me to finally give VSCode another chance, but gosh I really like Sublime Text's minimalistic UI.

Last night I found this rather lovely choose-your-own-adventure-ish comic-ish thing on FurAffinity and I'm sharing it with everyone who I think would be into it.

ah dang, the vet is still not allowing general wellness appointments due to COVID restrictions, and since he's an indoor cat he's a low priority for vaccination too.
he's overdue for a wellness check and vaccinations anyway, maybe I should take him to the vet and let them trim his claws

The old man can't really sharpen his claws anymore and they get way overgrown now. And I'm sure I'm not trimming into the quick, he's just being a grumpypuss.

The most frustrating thing about building software is the feeling that I'm building sand castles that will eventually get wiped away. It takes a staggering amount of effort *just to keep software running exactly the same as before*. Not to add improvements! Not to fix bugs! Just to keep it working exactly the same as it once did. It's maddening if you want to have a sense of personal pride at something you built years ago. Your "legacy" is nonexistent, unless you stay on the treadmill.

unpopular opinion: i think those wonky robo dogs with their funny spindly legs are adorable.
