DND
First time planning a large-scale battle... I think tomorrow my party is going to be part of the defense of a medium-sized town. Orcs gonna be there, human army gonna be there. But the party isn't high-level enough to dominate this battle on their own - they'll just contribute. We'll see what happens.
@theMarisaMohi Oh wow, xanga. That was so long ago. Brings back memories.
@dboyfajardo gratz!
Per the Evil Overlord List, a normal 5-year-old was hired to shoot down blatantly stupid plans. This is their story.

#DND as the characters in my campaign get higher level, they get more and more able and willing to derail DM plans. Just last session, I *thought* I had planned for them to go through a dungeon to fight a boss. Instead they refused to enter the dungeon and used Sending messages to lure the boss out, skipping the whole dungeon.
But DMing that kind of stuff is actually kind of fun. Gotta roll with the punches...
#introduction - I work for EFF, coined “lifehacks”, help #noisebridge, wrote ntk.net, doing the best that I can.
I got to see a few metaphorical revolutions, hoping to see a few more. I think it’s going to be okay.

@Elizafox @Azure Yep. And it's not just now, either.
Bush's presidency, that was so bad it gave the Democrats a 2008 sweep? Yeah, it took all of 2 years, to 2010, for Republicans to sweep basically every election again, with people having forgotten all about it, and believing all their promises again.
It's good that there's some backlash against 45 now, but all of this can be wiped out by one news cycle.

The thing to realize is that the problem is systemic. It's inherent in algorithmic timelines where the goal is to increase advertising revenue by maximizing attention. Facebook/Twitter/etc. trying to clamp down on "bad actors" is like tobacco companies trying to clamp down on "bad lungs."
