unsettling notion about velociraptors 

‪I just watched a YouTube video that said real velociraptors were about as bright as the seagulls from Finding Nemo, and now I just imagine the raptors in Jurassic Park going ‘mine mine mine!’ as they eat everyone.‬

Paleontologist have identified the strange fossil, Dickinsonia, as the earliest known member of the animal kingdom, 558 million years ago. It was a mystery exactly what Dickinsonia was, but new study found cholesterol in the rock surrounding it, meaning it's an animal.

@tieflinux@tootplanet.space Dwarves and elves exaggerate human characteristics in opposite directions (in standard fantasy setting). So a half-elf half-dwarf basically looks like a normal human.

Send an improperly cleaned probe to either Enceladus or Europa and contaminate them with bacteria. Then, long after humans have destroyed themselves and sapient life develops on whichever moon is chosen, that life will puzzle over the origins of life, and it turns out the weird conspiracy theorists who claim it was put there in an alien plot will actually be right.
