The most important part of being a good person, in my mind, is being able to acknowledge that your mistakes were mistakes, and learn from them. Most people seem to get stuck on one of those two--either they continually insist that their mistakes were not actually mistakes, or they understand that they were mistakes but instead of trying to be open about it and learn from it they try to hide it and deny it ever happened. I'm still trying not to be in that second group, myself.
@Felthry i feel this a lot. Both can be a struggle, especially that secone one. I'm still trying as best i can. Damn tho the world would be a way better place if a lot of ppl werent apparently completely incapable of number 1???????
Like a lot of ppls' instinct, instead of self-examination, is to double down or even have an emotional freakout. Uy.
