@literorrery nope, I was holding the camera upright; when I sent the pictures to my email they came in upright. it's the M$oft photo editor that initially turns them sideways. I turned them back upright when I saved them, but it's evidently not sticking. hmmmm....
@green @literorrery Some photo editing programs simply change the orientation metadata of a photo instead of physically rotating the photo itself.
The end result is that when you upload that photo to a service that strips metadata (like most web services), the metadata telling the browser the correct orientation is lost and the image appears sideways.
@mawr @literorrery HMMM. when I open the pictures in MSPaint they're showing right side up now, but when I try loading them here they're still sideways. any idea how I can fix this? :|
@literorrery @mawr like, other than "do not use MSPhotoEditor in the future"? >___<
@green @literorrery >..>
Well if you don't want to try something other than MSPhotoEditor... Try saving it as a different format? Maybe PNG?
@mawr @literorrery thaaaaat worked. thank you! :D
@green @literorrery You're welcome!
@literorrery Windows Photo Viewer has them upright. what the frack. >:|
