@Azure @Elizafox we tossed around various scenarios, including literal walls a'la Berlin. a lot of things depend on resources and trade, and how much hostility there is between the factions.

regardless, IMO secession is a BAD FUCKIN' IDEA, no matter who's trying to do it. I mean, I love the ideal of Cascadia, but I also see the *major* problems in the idea. :|

@green @Elizafox @Azure How do the conditions on the ground of Cascadia's independence differ from those of, say, Estonia's in the 1980s?

Is it that "secession is a bad idea", or is it that "this instance of secession is a bad idea and it's distinguished from these other cases that we generally consider good ideas by these reasons"?
