okay I am the tired. 2018 will have to happen without me. or at least, I'm going to try to go to sleep--though my odds of being able to actually sleep are low, since it means sleeping through the BOOMBOOMBANGPOP in a couple of hours, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. :P <3

@JulieSqveakaroo np, it's just not something I think about much--I use my computer pretty exclusively to play stuff; I have a handheld thingy that I used to play Pokemon for a while, but I haven't picked it up in months--otherwise, it's just the desktop or the laptop. ;)

(Pooka's health is fine, he had a vet visit a couple of months ago, and he gets regular checkups because he's a Senior Cat. so I'm pretty certain it was bad dreams and not some kind of worrying pain.)

Spouse (from the living room) and I (from the office) heard Pooka making odd quiet yowling noises. we both immediately headed for the bedroom, where we found him curled up asleep. we gave him gentle pets and quiet reassuring talk, and it didn't take long for him to go into full purr mode complete with bed-kneading.

we can't prevent others from having bad dreams, but we can give comfort and reassurance upon awaking. that's an important lesson to remember for the coming year. <3

painfully purging my public Twitter account--even with "automatic instant tools" it's taking forfrickinever-- while heating up a pot pie in the oven and considering having a cup of wine around midnight. will probably be playing Diablo when things flip.

okay yeah... sorry folks, I'm going to have to pass on the gathering tonight. :( too much pain. I'll make efforts to catch up with folks as I can, & think fondly of y'all tonight. <3
