So, some tangential thoughts off what I said in this thread: https://awoo.space/@Oneironott/1725503
Let's say there was a "pagan/magick 101" book focussed on an animal-person perspective, like how there's books on "dragon magic" and "city magic" and "cooking magic"
What would you expect to be in it?
What would happen if we built mysticism from the groud up from this POV
I know this is a profoundly *coyote* idea but heeey here I am. ;)

Oh gods now I'm actually sorta considering trying to write (or at least outline) something like this.
@literorrery Helllp, make the book-thoughts stop, you must have ideas how to do this. XD

@indi not so much a practical idea but i think a very strong undercurrent of interrogating anthropocentricism throughout wouldn't go amiss :P

@vagabondsun 100%; this is basically how I talk about animism:
"Fine, you know you're conscious, do you think your dog isn't? Do you know a plant's not? Where can you draw that line? I can't."

@indi Yes. Write them down. Once they're on the page, you won't be bothered by them any more! =n.n=

@indi Also, let me know if you want help in the creative process. This is your project, but you aren't tackling this alone. 💞

@indi Suggestions to help the reader identify the animals that are meaningful to them.
Examples showing how different people may interpret the same animal in different lights and all be correct in their own context, along with reassurances that This Is Okay.
Suggested rituals for invocation and identity-play. Tips for building emotionally safer spaces in which to explore.
Examples showing how these activities link to the orthocosm.

@indi
from our point of view, we think that its incredibly personal for everyone, which makes such things so complicated.
so that itself is something that we think would very have to be discussed and thought about.
All spirituality stuff that we've seen has brought this up and discussed it somewhat, but we think that with so many that barely understand what it means to be 'kin, discussing how personal it really is would be prudent...

Some of my own ideas:
The aforementioned 'furry-sight' as an alternative to aura-reading (I am _pretty sure_ I could make this a coherent exercise)
Astral-body work that doesn't assume the astra maps to the physical and gives advice on phantom wings/tail/ears etc.
Probably some version of a 'find your inner animal' meditation that is HOPEFULLY not horribly appropriative.
Animism. Just, well, if I was writing it, that'd end up in there
