frustration, gender(?) (--)

@KawaSeadrake Basically like, the second thing I said, almost? Spent all day at class taught by a very sweet, very queer person who sounds exactly like I wanna sound and I don't know how to get there and every time I spoke up in class I noticed it more. I just sound growly and old and... shitty. >.<

@indi @KawaSeadrake Consider looking into voice training not for gendered-ness, but as is taught for singing. Improved control allows you to nudge yourself closer to where you want to be.

@Jssra I think the most frustrating thing is that I can do it when I concentrate but... I don't know how to make it stick when I'm not thinking of it.

re: frustration, gender(?) (--)

@indi If you do it enough, consistently, it will eventually become habit.

@indi Were it me, I'd debug and try again. I'm unsure how many spoons you have to put into the project, though.

@Jssra I've been frustrated about this off and on for almost 15 years, and consistently for 5. "Try harder" may be part of the solution, but at this point I'm pretty sure it's not the only missing piece, or the major one.

@Jssra It's also really hard to debug when what I'm trying to cultivate is something folks more often try to get rid of.
