Reclaiming (and banishing) Mundanity

* Writing off someone as "just some Mundane" is right out.
* But look at the root of the word; mundus; world; earth
* A tangent: Lots of spiritual/woo stuff talks about "purification", there's arguments back and forth about whether this is puritan horseshit or value-neutral hygienics.
* I like to think of it in terms of what goes in what place. Dirt is a great and good thing when you're working in the garden, but less welcome inside

Relatedly, Susan Hawkins comes with my HIGHEST recommendations as a surgery-letter-writer. She has two doctorates, one of them in law. I feel like I now literally have a legal case written for my surgery. XD

Just read through one of my letters for the top surgery I'm pursuing, this letter being the really detailed history/psych one. It gives me chills about how insightful and thorough it is and I almost want to just start handing it to people and saying "here read this, this is me"
