Regarding that last RT, I think it's important to take a beat and really square with the unspoken assumption of "whiteness as default". Any way you slice it, white people are a minority on this planet:

But because so much of our species' history is built around colonialism and the aggression of Western civilization, a minority dictates what's to be considered 'normal', 'civilized', 'attractive', 'right'. That is something we're going to have to shake.
And this isn't to say that white people don't have a place on the world stage, or that they haven't contributed. Of course they have. ;) But what's missing is a sense of perspective. They're a small part of the world, not its rulers.
