Beast is going to be a part of X-Force after Hickman ushers in the new age of X-Men, hooray! I'm *really* hoping this will serve as a strong character rehabilitation after Bendis pretty much trashed the character and made him a petty, stupid asshole. :/
It's sad because Morrisson did wonderful work with him, and he's been written quite well by Hickman (New Avengers) and Rick Remender (Secret Avengers) before. But for some reason Bendis had a hate-on for Hank that sunk him ever since he took over.
Under Bendis, Hank:
+ Broke the multiverse beyond repair bringing the O5 into the modern timeline
+ Was told by the WATCHER he was pathetic and miserable.
+ Had an 'intervention' from the other X-Men that caused him to use all the throwing wine
+ Succumbed to the Black Vortex.
I really missed the moral center/consigliere Hank, who advocated passionately for Xavier's dream and whose silly, irrepressible humor hid deeply conflicted feelings about his mutation. I hope we get that back in X-Force this October.
