One thing that I am 150% over with Silicon Valley companies is the weird professional gaslighting that happens when a set of responsibilities fall to your team without notice or prep because of some decision you weren't any part of.

And complaining about the fact that it's messed up for both the worker and the customer to be set up for failure like that is viewed as my problem, not a genuinely crappy practice that should not have happened.

Like, standing up for your work-life balance or the ability to do your job well is often translated as "not wanting to do the work" or "not working well with others".

So it's either do a crappy rush job or devote more and more time to figuring out how to do it well. Ugh.
