One of the things I’m learning so far on this trip is that people can hold different views and still be open, warm, generous and fun. I’ve talked to a few folks who would be outright dismissed on Twitter but we found common ground easily face to face.
It’s so important to keep reaching for people who have different perspectives and beliefs with acceptance and respect. Being in a community requires this kind of patience. It honestly makes the world a wider, friendlier place.
