There seems to be ongoing Discussions At High Levels about whether I am going to be able to continue to work remotely at all and, if the answer is yes, without a potentially significant pay cut. Cool.

I’m actually somewhat less optimistic now than I was a couple weeks ago when this first came up, although I need to remind myself that I’m arguably being overpaid and while a pay cut would not be ideal it’s quite possible it would still beat any other job I could find locally. (Although maybe not beat a remote job.)
@arilin Erf. Well, yeah, fully-remote is a pretty good gig still. I accepted being underpaid pretty badly for a decade of fully-remote, low-schedule work myself.

@jakebe @arilin Oh yes, absolutely. I admit I did luck out in getting a job that, had the owner not decided to sell out, I could have stayed in forever.
