UPS Theft Update: Laptop was stolen. The store manager pulled video footage of the person who flashed an ID with my name (!!), signed for the package, and walked out of the store. Filed a police report, updated Dell. It's at least a relief to know what happened.
On another note, I now have a head cold two days before travelling on a plane, so that's fun. This has not been a great week.
@UPSHelp@twitter.com At this point, I'm just going to consider the laptop stolen by @UPS@twitter.com and file a police report. I'll also report the theft to the BBB or whoever else I can for some kind of consequences. I should not have to spend hours of my time just to get them to admit their error.
Laptop theft day 5: @UPSHelp@twitter.com has been no help at all, and the manager at the UPS Store it was supposed to be delivered to keeps trying to direct me there. She's also really cagey about confirming they never received the package in writing, or providing proof of delivery.
After contacting @UPSHelp@twitter.com about my likely stolen laptop, they just told me what I already knew (it's marked as delivered in our system), promised they'd investigate and told me to contact Dell.
If you're getting stuff shipped through UPS, be VERY careful!

So someone from @UPS@twitter.com marked my laptop as 'delivered' even though I've never seen the package OR signed for it like I should have. Submitted trouble tickets to @UPSHelp@twitter.com and @DellSupport@twitter.com, but I won't have a laptop at Xmas, which sucks SO HARD. Booooooooooooo
