...and it reminds me how amazingly lucky I am to have mental health care, and education, and a support network, and a steady job that acknowledges my own psychological struggles.
Life's hard, but it's so much harder for so many more. I feel super-lucky.
I see stuff like this and it breaks my heart to think about all the kids running around with unresolved traumas, undiagnosed illnesses, no support network, no way to even comprehend what's happening in their brains, AND ON TOP OF THAT living in a world that demonizes them

I feel like Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles are part of a trend we're all participating in after our pandemic year, where we measure whether the happiness we've sacrificed for something is way too much.
