Actual metal 3D printing can be done, but exists in the realm of Aerospace engineering budgets, and is not particularly fine grain. It's basically an arc welder on a industrial robot arm, and operates on time scales of days.

You can get 'metalic' 3D printer reel, and even conductive ones, but they're not at all solid metal.
