My Kitchenaid broke. Instead of sleeping, I tried to repair it. The motor has cooked and seized. It is dead.

@jayblanc Ack! Is it made such that the motor's feasibly replaceable?

@porsupah Alas, it's one of the smaller models where the motor is not field replaceable.

@jayblanc Ahh, hairballs. And naturally, the "will see the suns go out first" models are well into three digits..

@porsupah It looks like I might be able to get a repair/replacement via Kitchenaid's manufacturer warranty. Alas, this meant buying a new printer to print out the RMA label. (I very very rarely have to print anything out these days!)

@jayblanc Ohh, cool beans! Pain about the printer, though. Former roomie wound up getting a cheap laser - neither of us printed much, and that avoided the hassle of clogged inkjet cartridges, instead a toner cart that’ll last years.

@porsupah I wouldn't be able to tolerate a laser printer in my home. Already have a positive ion problem. I'll have to make do with having a Vime's boots printer.
