Today I learned that I might have Shiny New Stuff Syndrome. I've never realised how new technologies might not always be better. Example? GDPR leading to the return of text-only sites.

You don't realise how much you've been conditioned to think that Javascript and the like are important for the web, until you don't use it.

I've always learnt that when someone is accused of doing something, it's innocent until proven guilty. Yet, there is a tendency around these circles to make it guilty until proven innocent. That's tumblr's way. Don't be like Tumblr. Please.

Well, Totalbiscuit lost the fight against cancer about a day or so ago...I really don't have anything to say except cancer sucks.

Oddly enough, the date that this entire Qubes laptop oddesey ended is about a month to the day of Qubes' R4 release.

I can get around it by using a USB Wifi adapter. It took me a bit of learning through the USB qube, but I've got the hang of it.

Okay, so, refurbishing the X230 went well, and I stripped out parts that weren't needed. Unfortinately, I lost the antanae for the Wifi, but it's no big deal. (I would just take it out anyway, Intel stuff needs a blob.)

It looks like North and South Korea are working on denuclearization, and hoping to end the Korean War later this year.

In other news, 45 is like "Oh shit! I didn't have anything to do with that! I better do something, otherwise the Nazis, as dumb as they are, will begin to turn against me!"
