I need to jump to an uninhabited, lifeless system and give it a few new asteroid belts. Weapons systems need some duty cycles, and I've got some stress that needs to be expressed physically.

@IrisKalmia Only for threats that require that level of answering. The ones that do, you only really have the option of responding once, so it better be effective, emphatic, and final. If i can only get off a few shots, you can sparking bet I'm gonna make them count.
@IrisKalmia input energy i've got. The trick is in targeting, and safely dealing with recoil and waste heat. Improperly channeled firing of my big ones can cause me more damage than i cause. I used to be okay with that, but this frame isn't getting any more durable anymore.
@kelseyhusky Well yeah, sufficiently big guns tend to be pretty rough on the frame, even if they're standing in for a spine.
