@irisjaycomics I fucking loved DisneyQuest! I went to the one in Chicago with my family and I went to the one in WDW twice when I went to the FIRST Robotics national championships when I was in high school. I made the best roller coaster and I still have the MP3 of the song i made with their song maker room.

@irisjaycomics FIRST, not, the first. For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. It's a brain-child of Dean Kamen (the Segway guy) to get kids interested in Tech. It was one of my best memories of high school, hanging out with a bunch of other geeks and nerds like me and doing geek nerdy shit like building a robot to compete in robot games. I was a member of one of the oldest teams in the league; Team #6, the CogSquad.

@irisjaycomics Oh man, I haven't thought about it years. Getting nostalgia bombed right now. I got in trouble when I was down at the championships cause I went to DisneyQuest alone instead of with 2 other kids from my team like the rules said I had to, so I got my driving privileges revoked. But it was still so much fun. My senior year, i was finally able to convince some friends to come with me and we all had a blast!

@irisjaycomics It was an absolute blast, not just cause of getting the school to pay for plane tickets and park passes to DisneyWorld, but it was one of the few times i really had a feeling of social acceptance and was willingly part of a group that was wanting to have me around. It was good shit for someone with chronic isolation.
